The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness & Industry has assured the public that the price of sachet water will remain unchanged, following the suspension of a planned price adjustment by producers.
In a statement issued Monday, the Ministry commended the Ghana Plastic Manufacturers Association (GPMA) and the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) for their cooperation in halting the increase. “This decision reflects our commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring market stability,” the Ministry noted.

Consumers can therefore continue to purchase sachet water at the current price. The Ministry further announced that it will meet with GPMA and NASPAWAP leadership on Wednesday, April 8, to urgently address challenges facing the sector.
Reaffirming its commitment to stability, the Ministry pledged to work closely with all trade associations to resolve industry concerns swiftly. The move is expected to ease public anxiety over rising costs while ensuring continued access to affordable drinking water.
