President Mahama to Visit France for One Health Summit

President John Dramani Mahama will embark on an official visit to France today at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The visit will see President Mahama participate in the 2026 One Health Summit in Lyon before holding bilateral talks with President Macron at the Elysée Palace in Paris.

President Mahama, founder of the Accra Reset Initiative, is set to co-chair the High-Level segment of the Summit alongside President Macron on Tuesday. The gathering will bring together world leaders, health ministers, and global health experts to deliberate on strengthening global health systems, advancing sustainable food production, and developing joint strategies to tackle pressing health challenges.

The One Health Summit has become a key platform for international cooperation on health and sustainability, and Ghana’s participation underscores the country’s growing role in shaping global health policy. President Mahama’s engagements in France are expected to deepen Ghana-France relations while reinforcing collaborative efforts to address shared challenges in health and development.
