Ukraine celebrates its 31st Independence Day since it separated from the Soviet Union. Before the February conflict, Ukrainian independence was a significant holiday being colorfully celebrated across the country. However, under current circumstances, such sightings can no longer be seen. Ukrainian authorities have since banned public gatherings and imposed curfews in some key cities. In place of the Independence Day celebration, overshadowed by the conflict, captured Russian tanks, and military artilleries are being displayed on the streets.
