Ec has lost some of it’s Data, they’re seeking to compile a new Electoral Roll – Sammy Gyamfi.

The National communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress(NDC)has said that the Electoral commission (EC) is seeking to compile new voters register because it has lost some of it’s Data.

He said, the elections management body is unable to come out to announce publicly that it is seeking to compile a new Electoral Roll.

Speaking with Yaa Yaa Titi Okra on the ” Pae mu ka” show on Onua FM, Sammy Gyamfi said ” The Electoral Commission has lost some of it’s Data and so they are seeking to compile a new register. Their plan is to compile a new register but they cannot come out to say that publicly.

They want to throw away the old register and so they are seeking to introduce a new law that will make the Ghana Card the only form of identification document.”

However, the EC has denied claims that it is seeking to compile new voter’s register.

Director of Electoral services Department, Dr. Serebour Quaincoe , said the body was not compiling a new register because one that was put together for the 2020 polls is still credible.
