The Ghana Education Service (GES) has assured newly promoted teachers that salary adjustments reflecting their new ranks are automatic and do not require any additional applications or documentation.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Unit, GES confirmed that concerns had been raised by some teachers who reported being asked to submit application letters and promotion documents to facilitate salary adjustments. The Service emphasized that this practice is not part of its procedures.
“Teachers who are promoted to new ranks are usually placed automatically on the appropriate salary scale to reflect the new ranks. This existing practice has not changed,” the release stated.
