GH¢10 Billion Invested in Road Infrastructure Since January – Finance Minister

Minister for Finance and Economic planning , Dr. Amin Mohammed Adam has asserted that the government as so far spent GH₵10 billion on road infrastructure from January, 2024 to June, 2024.

At a press briefing on Thursday, August 29, Dr. Amin Mohammed disclosed that all road infrastructures commissioned this year, 2024 was full funded from the national budget.

” This week, the president cut sod for the Accra – Tema Motorway redevelopment project, and two das ago, I also visited the Kasoa Winneba project site with the Minister for Roads and Highways. The Adenta – Dodowa road is progressing, all this is fully funded by the National budget” He said.

Dr. Amin Adam further stated that, this projects will help improve the movement of goods and people across the country.
The Economic Roads improvement program, which includes the Adenta – Dodowa road, Accra- Kumasi road, Kasoa – Winneba Road and Accra – Tema Motorway is part of the governments broader strategy and contributions of roads to enhance economic growth.

President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, 27th August cut sod for the Accra-Tema Motorway extension project, aimed at enhancing the capacity and efficiency of the motorway.

He highlighted that the road currently carries an average of 45,000 vehicles per day, proving its importanThe Minister for Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye, also outlined the phases and sections of the project.
