The Ghanaian national team has touched down in Toronto ahead of Wednesday’s curtain-raiser at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will face Panama at BMO Field.
The squad arrived on Monday afternoon following their final round of preparations in the United States. Ghana had been camped there since their international friendly against Wales in Cardiff earlier this month.
Head coach Carlos Queiroz and his staff used the American base to sharpen tactical plans and improve conditioning, with all 26 players participating fully in training. The team reports no fitness issues going into their Group L debut. An official training session is scheduled at BMO Field on Tuesday evening.
Kickoff against Panama is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 17. This marks Ghana’s fifth appearance at the global tournament and their first-ever senior-level encounter with Panama.
The Black Stars are aiming for a strong start before their second group fixture against England at Gillette Stadium in Boston on Tuesday, June 23.
