The Cyber Security Authority (CSA), in partnership with the Africa Center for Digital Transformation (ACDT) and with the support of the Government of the Czech Republic under its Transformation Cooperation Programme, has launched the National Community Media Cyber Capacity Building Project.
This landmark initiative seeks to equip community media practitioners with the knowledge and skills to report accurately on cybersecurity, cybercrime, and emerging digital threats, while strengthening public awareness and promoting responsible digital behaviour across Ghana.
The CSA emphasized that the media plays a critical role in shaping public understanding, combating misinformation, and fostering cyber resilience. Through this project, journalists will become strategic partners in advancing Ghana’s national cybersecurity agenda and empowering citizens to stay safe online.
“This initiative is about building a cyber-informed media for a cyber-resilient nation,” the Authority noted, highlighting the importance of collaboration between government, international partners, and the media in safeguarding Ghana’s digital ecosystem.
