100 New Buses Arrive to Ease Transport Challenges

The government has announced the arrival of 100 new 29-seater buses, part of a broader effort to address recent public transport challenges across the country.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, confirmed the development in a Facebook post on Sunday, April 5. He explained that the buses form part of a total of 300 procured to strengthen the public transport system.

According to the Minister, another batch of 100 buses is expected to arrive in August, with the final consignment of 100 scheduled for November. The phased delivery is intended to ensure a steady expansion of transport capacity, easing congestion and improving accessibility for commuters.

The initiative reflects government’s commitment to tackling transport bottlenecks and enhancing mobility nationwide, particularly in urban centers where demand for reliable public transport remains high.
