The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has officially confirmed 42 accredited Hajj agents for the 2026 pilgrimage, urging prospective pilgrims to deal only with approved representatives to avoid fraud and unauthorized transactions.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, 20th October, 2025, the Communications Directorate of PAOG announced that the agents were vetted and approved by the Hajj Agents Association of Ghana (HAAG) before receiving final confirmation from PAOG.
“The general public and all prospective pilgrims are strongly advised to transact business only with these accredited agents,” the statement emphasized, warning against unlicensed intermediaries who may exploit unsuspecting pilgrims.
The release, signed by PAOG’s Director of Communications, Alhaji Mohammed Amin Lamptey, further highlighted the office’s commitment to transparency and collaboration with stakeholders. According to PAOG, the move is part of broader efforts to ensure a smooth, secure, and successful Hajj operation in 2026.
The statement also reaffirmed PAOG’s resolve to strengthen ties with the Hajj Agents Association of Ghana, religious leaders, and other partners to streamline the pilgrimage process.
