Government Mourns Passing of Dagbon King, Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II

The Government of Ghana has expressed profound sorrow over the death of His Majesty Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II, Paramount Chief of Dagbon, whose reign is remembered for ushering peace and reconciliation after years of conflict in the northern kingdom.

In a statement issued by the Presidency Communications, President John Dramani Mahama extended condolences to the Royal Family, the people of Dagbon, and the nation at large. The President described the late monarch as a distinguished traditional ruler whose leadership fostered unity, stability, and development across Dagbon and Ghana.
