The advisory, dated June 29, 2026, cautions against potential disruptions in central business districts, transport hubs, and informal trading areas. Ghanaian citizens are strongly advised to remain indoors, close businesses temporarily, and avoid protest locations.
The Mission emphasized the importance of staying calm, law-abiding, and avoiding confrontations — including online exchanges on social media. Nationals are also encouraged to keep identification documents readily available and to rely only on credible sources of information, steering clear of unverified reports or rumors.
