Family of Late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Pays Courtesy Call on Speaker of Parliament

The family of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo, founder of the Kristo Asafo Church, has paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, to officially inform him of the Apostle’s passing and to brief him on arrangements for the upcoming 40-day memorial service.

The delegation, led by senior members of the Safo family, visited the Speaker at Parliament House in Accra, where they expressed gratitude for the nation’s outpouring of sympathy since the passing of the revered religious leader.

In his remarks, Speaker Bagbin extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the Kristo Asafo fraternity. He described Apostle Safo as a towering figure whose influence transcended the pulpit, noting his pioneering contributions to Ghana’s spiritual life, industrial innovation, and scientific advancement.

“Apostle Safo was not only a man of God but also a visionary who believed in the potential of Ghanaians to achieve self-reliance through creativity and hard work,” the Speaker said.

He further urged the family to remain united in preserving the Apostle’s legacy, cautioning against internal divisions that could undermine the values and vision he championed. “The best way to honour him is to protect the peace he stood for and to continue the work he began for the benefit of the nation,” he added.

The Kristo Asafo Church and the Safo family are expected to release further details of the 40-day memorial observance in the coming days.

Apostle Kwadwo Safo, widely known as the “Star of Africa,” was celebrated for his groundbreaking innovations in engineering and technology, as well as his philanthropic and spiritual leadership. His passing has been described as a great loss to Ghana and the wider African continent.
