Parliament’s Eighth Week Agenda Unveiled

The Majority Leader and Chairman of the Business Committee, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, has presented the Business Statement outlining parliamentary activities for the eighth week ending Friday, 10 July 2026.

Delivering the statement on the Floor of the House, Hon. Ayariga announced that seven ministers are scheduled to appear before Parliament to respond to 23 oral questions and one urgent question. The ministers represent the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, State Interests and Government Communications, Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Health, Labour, Jobs and Employment, Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, and Foreign Affairs.

In addition to ministerial questioning, the House is expected to deliberate on several Bills at different stages, receive committee reports and annual statements, and consider motions and resolutions. Committee sittings will continue throughout the week to support Parliament’s legislative work.

This agenda underscores Parliament’s busy schedule as it balances oversight responsibilities with lawmaking duties, while also addressing urgent national issues through ministerial accountability.
