President Mahama Calls for Integrity in National Recovery

President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed Ghana’s economic recovery, citing improvements in macroeconomic stability, declining inflation, and renewed investor confidence.

Speaking at the Muslim Prayers and Thanksgiving Service held at the National Mosque as part of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, the President attributed the progress to prudent economic management, sacrifice, and the resilience of the Ghanaian people. He emphasized that while significant gains have been made, sustained effort and collective commitment remain necessary to ensure inclusive growth and shared prosperity.

President Mahama underscored the need for a national reset anchored on integrity, accountability, and responsible leadership. He urged citizens and public officials alike to reject corruption and embrace their shared responsibility in advancing national development, stressing that meaningful transformation begins with individual action and a commitment to service.

Highlighting Ghana’s long‑standing tradition of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence, the President described the country’s diversity as a source of strength. He called on Ghanaians to continue fostering unity across religious and ethnic lines, noting that national progress depends on preserving the harmony that binds the nation together.

The service formed part of nationwide activities marking the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, which brought together leaders of various faiths to intercede for the country’s peace, prosperity, and continued recovery.
