A nationwide survey by Global InfoAnalytics suggests that many voters back key recommendations put forward in the Constitutional Review Commission’s recent report.
The poll indicates majority support for extending the presidential term from four to five years, with 57 percent of respondents in favour. Thirty-six percent opposed the proposal, while seven percent were undecided.
Respondents also expressed strong approval for separating parliamentary and ministerial responsibilities. Fifty-eight percent support a ban on members of parliament serving as ministers, compared with 32 percent who are against it. Ten percent reported no clear stance.
Support was similarly strong for lowering the minimum age required to contest the presidency. According to the survey, 55 percent favour reducing the age limit, while 35 percent oppose the change. Ten percent offered no opinion.
Global InfoAnalytics conducted the survey between December 1 and December 21, 2025, using online questionnaires, telephone interviews, and face-to-face interactions. The poll sampled 13,495 registered voters nationwide.
