Ghana Reaffirms Non-Alignment and Pan-African Principles in Global Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has reiterated Ghana’s unwavering commitment to its longstanding foreign policy of non-alignment, Pan-Africanism, and peaceful coexistence.

In a statement addressed to all media houses, the Ministry emphasized that Ghana’s principled positions on global historical and moral issues — including its stance at the United Nations on the transatlantic slave trade — remain unchanged. It reaffirmed that Ghana will continue to engage all international partners constructively and on the basis of mutual respect and national interest.

“The Government of Ghana remains committed to transparency, accountability and the protection of national sovereignty in all its international engagements,” the statement read.

The Ministry further underscored Ghana’s dedication to good neighbourliness and regional peace, stressing that the country will not enter into any bilateral or multilateral arrangement that undermines the security or territorial integrity of its neighbours.

This reaffirmation comes amid growing global geopolitical shifts, with Ghana positioning itself as a voice of balance and integrity within the international community.
