President Mahama Commissions 15 New Envoys to Advance Ghana’s Global Interests

President John Dramani Mahama has formally inducted 15 esteemed individuals into diplomatic service as Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and Consul-Generals, entrusting them with the responsibility of representing Ghana across various nations.

The swearing-in ceremony took place on Thursday, 4th September 2025, at Jubilee House in Accra. It marks a significant step in Ghana’s continued mission to deepen international relations, enhance global partnerships, and advocate for the nation’s strategic priorities abroad.

Addressing the newly appointed diplomats, President Mahama called on them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, honesty, and national pride. He emphasized the critical role of economic diplomacy, regional peace, and the protection of Ghanaian citizens living overseas.

  • Dr. Koma-Steem Jehu Appiah – Ambassador to Moscow, Russia
  • Mr. Kojo Bonsu – Ambassador to Beijing, China
  • Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson – High Commissioner to London, United Kingdom
