Rescue Efforts Intensify as Floods Displace Thousands

The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has stepped up rescue efforts as devastating floods continue to displace thousands across Ghana.

Rescue operations are underway across flood-hit communities in Ghana, as emergency services intensify efforts to save lives and provide relief to displaced families.

The Deputy Director-General in charge of Operations, Hon. Teddy Safori Addi, and the Deputy Director-General in charge of Livelihood, Hon. Albert Akuka Alalzuuga, have joined response teams on the ground to monitor the situation and ensure coordination of rescue efforts. Their presence underscores the government’s commitment to mobilizing all available resources to address the crisis.

Emergency responders remain focused on rescuing trapped victims, securing affected areas, and protecting lives. Teams are working around the clock to provide shelter, food, and medical assistance to those forced out of their homes.

The floods, triggered by days of heavy rainfall, have left several communities submerged, with infrastructure damaged and families displaced. Authorities continue to urge citizens to comply with safety directives and cooperate with rescue teams to minimize risks.

As the nation rallies to confront the disaster, officials emphasize that coordinated action and community solidarity will be crucial in overcoming the challenges posed by the floods.
