The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the closure of the Premium Passport Application Centres in Accra and Kumasi, effective February 20, 2026.
In a public statement issued on February 23, the Ministry explained that applicants with pending requests at the affected centres should now turn to the Regional Passport Application Centres for processing. Alternatively, applicants may seek assistance from the Passport Office Client Service Unit via telephone at 0302-754-200.
The Ministry assured the public of its continued commitment to delivering quality service, emphasizing that the closure is part of ongoing efforts to streamline passport application processes nationwide.
The announcement, addressed to all media houses, also provided official contact details and reiterated the Ministry’s dedication to maintaining efficient and accessible public services.
