The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and Ernst & Young Ghana (EY Ghana) have issued a joint statement affirming their commitment to strengthening Ghana’s cybersecurity regulatory framework following constructive discussions on licensing requirements.
The release, dated 18th August 2026, confirmed that both parties had clarified and resolved issues relating to license fees and administrative procedures for cybersecurity service providers. The statement emphasized a collaborative approach, noting that the engagement was aimed at ensuring compliance while supporting organizations to meet regulatory obligations without undue burden.
CSA reiterated its mandate to enforce Ghana’s cybersecurity laws and underscored its goal of building a secure and trusted digital ecosystem. EY Ghana, for its part, expressed confidence in the regulatory process and pledged continued cooperation with the Authority to advance industry standards.
The joint communiqué highlighted the importance of dialogue between regulators and private sector actors in addressing emerging challenges in the digital space. It concluded with a reaffirmation of mutual commitment to safeguarding Ghana’s cyberspace through effective regulation and partnership.
