The funeral arrangements of the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, renowned industrialist and founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission, have been temporarily halted following a court order.
An Accra High Court on Tuesday granted a 10‑day interim injunction restraining former Dome‑Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, from proceeding with plans for the burial and funeral rites. The injunction was issued after a legal challenge filed by the Kristo Asafo Mission concerning the administration of the late Apostle’s estate.
The funeral, originally scheduled for July 30 and 31, 2026, has now been put on hold pending further court proceedings. The ruling underscores ongoing disputes over the management of Apostle Safo’s legacy, which spans religious leadership, philanthropy, and pioneering contributions to Ghana’s automotive and technological industries.
