President Mahama Commissions Ultra-Modern Printing Centre at GPCL

President John Dramani Mahama has commissioned a state-of-the-art digital printing centre at the Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL), marking a major milestone in the Company’s transformation and retooling drive.

The commissioning took place on Wednesday, January 8, during the President’s working visit to GPCL, where he engaged with the Board, Management, and staff of the Company.

The new facility is expected to significantly boost GPCL’s production capacity, improve turnaround times, and enhance its ability to meet the growing demand for high-quality and time-sensitive government and commercial printing services.

Speaking at the event, President Mahama commended GPCL’s leadership for investing in modern technology and strategically positioning the Company to compete effectively within Ghana’s printing industry. He noted that the facility will strengthen GPCL’s capacity to deliver on critical national assignments, including the printing of official state documents, textbooks, learning materials, and other large-scale government and private sector jobs.

The commissioning underscores government’s commitment to institutional renewal under the Reset Agenda and reinforces GPCL’s role as a forward-looking state-owned enterprise aligned with productivity, efficiency, and the vision of a 24-hour economy.
