The High Court in Accra has directed lawyers representing Patricia Asieduaa, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, and her co-accused to formally submit the details of their proposed plea bargain ahead of the next hearing.
The Court instructed that the agreement be lodged no later than three clear days before the adjourned date of December 16, 2025.
During Tuesday’s sitting (December 2), state prosecutors indicated they were considering applying for a bench warrant against the second accused. Defence counsel, however, argued that they had not received the required notice of hearing. The judge subsequently ordered the Court Registry to ensure proper service before the next appearance.
Counsel for Nana Agradaa informed the Court that talks with the Office of the Attorney-General regarding a possible plea arrangement were “well advanced,” and requested a brief adjournment. Prosecutors confirmed that the complainant, Pastor Emmanuel Appiah Fumum—widely known as Osofo Biblical—had taken part in the ongoing negotiations and was present in court.
The case arises from allegations that Nana Agradaa, once a traditional priestess and now an evangelist, broadcast intimate images of the complainant on her television channel and social media platforms without his consent. Prosecutors contend the images were aired during a live programme where panelists ridiculed the complainant, contravening the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038), which prohibits the unauthorized distribution of intimate material.
Nana Agradaa, who is already serving a 15-year prison term in a separate fraud conviction, was in attendance at the proceedings.
Defence lawyers further raised objections to recent media interviews granted by the complainant, in which he allegedly commented on their client’s condition in custody. The trial judge advised the prosecution to caution the complainant against making such public remarks while the matter remains before the court.
