UK Parliamentary Delegation Strengthens Ties with Ghanaian MPs

 A delegation from the All-Parliamentary Party Group for Ghana (APPG) in the UK Parliament has paid a courtesy call on members of the Ghana-UK Parliamentary Friendship Association, reaffirming the commitment of both legislatures to deepen bilateral cooperation.

The UK delegation was led by Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP, Chairperson of the APPG. Also present was Dianne Abbott MP, the first Black woman elected to the UK Parliament, alongside other members of the group.

Discussions during the meeting centered on expanding trade relations, enhancing value addition within the agricultural value chain, strengthening collaboration in the air transport sector, and consolidating the longstanding ties between the two parliaments.

The Ghanaian side was represented by Hon. Collins Adomako-Mensah, Chairperson of the Ghana-UK Parliamentary Friendship Association, together with other MPs from the Association.

Both delegations emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing mutual interests and fostering stronger people-to-people connections between Ghana and the United Kingdom.

The visit marks another milestone in the enduring partnership between the two nations, highlighting the role of legislators in shaping policies that promote economic growth, cultural exchange, and international cooperation.
