NSA Sets Up Help Desk to Correct Biodata Mismatches for Service Personnel

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced measures to assist prospective service personnel whose biodata records submitted by their tertiary institutions do not correspond with details on their Ghana Cards.

Beginning Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., the NSA Headquarters will host a Special Registration Help Desk to guide affected personnel through correction procedures. Officials from the National Identification Authority (NIA) and the Ghana Publishing Company will be stationed on site to provide direct support.

According to the Authority, discrepancies often arise from spelling errors, typographical mistakes, incorrect dates of birth, or the use of different names across institutional and national records. Where the mismatch originates from the Ghana Card, personnel will be directed to the NIA desk for updates. In cases requiring a name change through gazetting, emergency services will be provided by the Ghana Publishing Company to expedite the process.

The NSA emphasized that accurate biodata is critical for smooth registration, validation, deployment, and payment of allowances. “Personnel are encouraged to resolve any discrepancies as early as possible to avoid challenges with service‑related processes,” the statement noted.

Management further urged educational institutions to exercise diligence in verifying student details before submitting class lists, stressing that institutional accuracy is essential to ensuring a seamless national service experience.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to improving service delivery and ensuring that all personnel and stakeholders benefit from a transparent and efficient system.
