The Ghana Education Service (GES) has confirmed that it is engaging teacher unions to address concerns relating to the 2025 promotion exercise.
In a statement dated 18th August 2026 and signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations, the Service disclosed that management met with union leadership to deliberate on substantive dates applicable to the promotion process.
According to the release, GES has taken note of the issues raised and assured unions of further dialogue aimed at reaching an amicable settlement. The Service emphasized its commitment to resolving the matter in a manner that safeguards the interests of teachers while maintaining transparency in the promotion process.
Management also expressed appreciation for the support and cooperation of teachers, underscoring the importance of collaboration between the Service and unions in addressing challenges within the education sector.
The engagement marks a continuation of efforts to strengthen relations between GES and teacher unions, ensuring that promotion exercises remain credible and fair.
