His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama has commenced his State Visit to Jamaica with an official welcome ceremony, followed by a courtesy call on His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen, Governor-General of Jamaica, at King’s House in Kingston.

The engagement reaffirmed the longstanding historical and cultural bonds between Ghana and Jamaica, underscoring the shared commitment of both nations to deepening bilateral relations, advancing Pan-African cooperation, and strengthening collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

President Mahama’s visit marks a significant step in enhancing Ghana–Jamaica relations and fostering closer ties between Africa and the Caribbean. The State Visit is expected to build momentum for expanded cooperation in trade, education, health, tourism, and cultural exchange, while reinforcing the shared vision of unity and solidarity across the Pan-African world.
