GNFS Supports Safe Demolition of Dilapidated Building at Osu

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Monday provided critical safety support during the controlled demolition of a dilapidated four-storey building at Abebrese Street, Osu, in the Korle Klottey Constituency.

Two fire engines from the Ministries Fire Station and National Headquarters were deployed to the site to ensure fire cover and scene safety throughout the exercise. With the aid of earth-moving equipment, the structure was successfully brought down without any injuries, fatalities, or adverse incidents recorded.

Debris collection and site-clearing operations are currently underway to secure the area for residents, road users, and occupants of adjoining properties.

GNFS commended all collaborating agencies and stakeholders whose coordinated efforts contributed to the safe and successful execution of the demolition exercise.
