A high‑level delegation from the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, led by First Deputy Speaker H.E. Park Duk Hyum, has paid a courtesy call on the Parliament of Ghana to strengthen bilateral relations and explore investment opportunities in infrastructure.
The delegation, which included Members of the Korean National Assembly and representatives of ten Korean infrastructure companies, was received by Ghana’s First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Bernard Ahiafor. H.E. Park encouraged greater Korean investment in Ghana, while Hon. Ahiafor underscored the strong diplomatic ties between the two countries since 1977 and expressed optimism about deepening cooperation.
During the meeting, Dr. Ishmael Nii Amanor Dodoo, Chief Partnership Officer of the 24‑Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Secretariat, presented Ghana’s 24‑Hour Economy agenda. He described the initiative as a strategy to drive industrialisation, boost exports, and create jobs, inviting Korean businesses to take advantage of the opportunities under the programme.
The visit highlights Ghana’s commitment to expanding international partnerships and South Korea’s growing interest in Africa’s infrastructure and industrialisation agenda.
