The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for one Wisdom Tetteh in connection with the disappearance of 27-year-old Theophilus Ashitey Amarh at Oyibi.
According to a statement from the Accra Regional Police Command, the victim was reported missing on April 7 after leaving home the previous day to sell his Hyundai Elantra saloon car. He had reportedly been introduced to a prospective buyer by the suspect but failed to return.
Police investigations revealed that the victim was last seen at the suspect’s residence at Saasabi, where he had gone to meet the buyer. A revisit to the location on April 10 uncovered suspected bloodstains in the room, suggesting possible foul play.
The scene was processed by the National Crime Scene Management Team with support from the Anti-Armed Robbery Unit of the CID Headquarters. Despite extensive searches involving community members and local authorities, the victim has not yet been found.
Intelligence gathered by the Police indicates that the suspect has fled to neighbouring Togo. The Command says efforts are underway, including collaboration with INTERPOL, to track and arrest him.
The Police are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspect or the missing person to report to the nearest Police Station to assist ongoing investigations.
