Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Wednesday, 8 June 2022, launched the No Guarantor Student Loan policy at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi. The policy was a promise made by the Akufo-Addo government prior to the 2020 elections. On Tuesday, June 2, 2022, police detained four robbery suspects who assaulted a mining site in Fenaso Ketewa, near Obuasi. The bandits, who were reportedly armed with pump-action pistols, attempted but failed to steal the miners of gold ore. They were able to get away with 50 gallons of diesel. An alleged dynamite explosion at Santa Maria in Accra has left two individuals injured. The cause of the incident is yet unknown,as residents in the neighborhood claim to be living in fear. The  explosion was reported to have occurred on Tuesday afternoon June 7th , 2022.
