The Government has reiterated its commitment to transparency and accountability in the management of Ghana’s gold resources, highlighting reforms that are reshaping the sector.
Speaking at the Government Accountability Series, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), Sammy Gyamfi, Esq., outlined the institution’s current trade model and funding structure.
He emphasised that the new framework has delivered significant gains, including increased gold aggregation, reduced leakages, stronger action against gold smuggling, and a more efficient trading model designed to maximise the economic value of Ghana’s gold.
