The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Abu Dhabi, in coordination with the Consulate General in Dubai, has announced an emergency evacuation exercise for Ghanaian nationals residing in the United Arab Emirates.
The directive, issued on Monday, March 16, 2026, follows escalating tensions in the Middle East region. The Embassy is urging all interested Ghanaian citizens to confirm their willingness to be evacuated immediately to Ghana.
According to the statement, the evacuation is strictly one-way and intended for urgent repatriation. Nationals are required to submit the bio data pages of their passports via email to the designated addresses in Abu Dhabi and Dubai no later than 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
The Embassy thanked citizens who had already registered following an earlier public notice issued on March 9 and assured that it will continue to monitor the situation closely.
