Deputy Defence Minister Clarifies Microlight Crash in Tema

 The Deputy Minister for Defence, Hon. Brogya Genfi, has issued a statement following reports of a fatal crash involving a microlight aircraft at Tema Community 1 on Monday afternoon.

In a Facebook post shared late in the day, the Deputy Minister confirmed that the aircraft involved was privately owned and not part of the Ghana Armed Forces fleet.

“We have received reports of a fatal crash involving a privately owned microlight aircraft at Tema Community 1 this afternoon. We wish to clarify that the aircraft is not owned by the Ghana Armed Forces. We pray for the souls of the departed and extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families,” the post read.

The clarification comes amid heightened public concern following the incident, which has drawn national attention. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are expected to continue in the coming days.
