Foreign Minister Ablakwa Deepens Ghana–Czech Cooperation in Prague

 Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has extended heartfelt appreciation to the Czech Republic’s Foreign Minister, H.E. Petr Macinka, for the warm hospitality accorded him during his official engagements in Prague.

The two ministers held fruitful discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation. Key areas included the revival of the €48 million bridge projects in Ghana, expansion of VAMED hospitals, and expediting ongoing talks to supply buses that will transform public transportation.

Hon. Ablakwa disclosed that Ghana and the Czech Republic are also initiating discussions on a potential visa waiver agreement to further ease travel and deepen people-to-people ties.

He expressed gratitude to the Czech government and the organizers of GLOBSEC for inviting him to share reflections on Africa’s growing role in the evolving global order, as well as the demands of the Ghana-led coalition for reparatory justice.

The engagements mark a significant step in consolidating Ghana–Czech relations and advancing shared development priorities.
