A 60-year-old father who engaged in sexual activity with his three biological daughters underwent a purification rite in Assin Andoe in the Central Region.
Opanin Kwame Atta, also known as Showboy, was fined $12,000 and ordered to provide materials for cleansing ceremonies, including 5 fully grown sheep, crates of different drinks, and bottles of exotic schnapps. Kwame Atta was able to raise 8,000 cedis out of these demands and begged for money to buy four lambs because of financial difficulties.
After the ritual at the palace, the local chief, Nana Atta Banafo III, told the reporters that they will conduct two other rituals at the farm and other locations where the incestuous deed took place.

After the ritual at the palace, the local chief, Nana Atta Banafo III, told the reporters that they will conduct two other rituals at the farm and other locations where the incestuous deed took place. The suspect upon appearing before the traditional leaders admitted to the act and pleaded for mercy. But after deliberations, the Chief charged the culprits accordingly. The three victims whose names are being withheld are said to be in their twenties.
The girls were sexually assaulted by their father for years, but they were scared to report the attack because their parents had threatened to kill them, according to Nana Yaw Oteng, the Assin Andoe linguist. The problem, however, only became apparent after the family was afflicted by a weird illness for months without a cure, which led to the discovery of the incestuous behavior. Girls who are experiencing comparable adversity were asked to report such situations by Okyeame Yaw Oteng. The Assin South Police have been informed of the problem in the meantime by the chiefs.
