The National Nasara Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (Npp), Hon. Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa, says he is willing to support any candidate elected by the Npp as the flagbearer for 2024 elections.
Speaking on Tsarin Safiya on Monday, 15th August 2022, Hon. Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa, has countered he does not need to pick sides as purpoted but only wishes and prays for Ghana to have a Muslim president in future, claiming his duty is to unite all NPP members.
”As a National Nasara coordinator I don’t need to pick sides all I hope and pray for is to get a Muslim president in future. Ours is to unite people so that we become one people. If I have a platform I’ll give it to anyone being elected not necessarily Dr Mahmoud Bawumia because we are all one and we belong to the same party( NPP).”
He further explained that, if they (party executives) decide to come out publicly and pick sides its going to create lot of problems in the future. All they have to do is to focus and be one and also support whoever emerges as a candidate for the New Patriotic Party.
Speaking on the impact of Nasara in Zongo communities he further explained that ;
“‘When it comes to the impact of Nasara in Zongo communities, Nasara has made it possible for people to acquire scholarship to study in Cuba. There are schools in the Ashanti region which were built through the Inner City and Zongo development Fund . The Zongo development fund established an ICT center, schools, and football pitches like the Astroturf. The current government has taken 40 students to Cuba to study medicine, which is new because this one in particular was for only Zongo communities.” He concluded.
