Accra Sports Stadium, La Palm Beach nabbed in ECG revenue mop-up

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has commenced a revenue mobilisation exercise.

The tax force leader, Mr Steven Larbi Siaw indicated that no indebted company will be left out.

According to him, considering the rate at which the company (ECG) is owed by both private and public institutions, they are tasked to reduce the debt.

He further revealed that there would be a massive disconnection exercise if those owing them failed to make payments as soon as possible.

“We have Ghana Education Service, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of communication, UN Development Programme and EOCO and Internal Audit”.

ln,a desperate bid to recover millions of cedis owed ECG, the Accra Sports Stadium and La Palm Beach Hotel have not been spared in the exercise.

Mr Siaw stated that the above-mentioned companies owe up to the sum of GH¢508,087.37 and GH¢192, 073.62 respectively.

Meanwhile, Mr Siaw says they are not loosening until all monies are reimbursed.
