The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed all Regional Directors of Education to ensure the timely upload of school choices for candidates in the 2026 placement exercise.
In a circular signed by Mr. Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, Director of the Schools and Instructions Division (Secondary), the Service announced that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) portal for capturing school selection data will be open from Monday, August 24 to Thursday, August 27, 2026.
The directive, referenced under GES/HQ/DG/494/2026, instructs heads of Junior High Schools who have not yet completed the process to log onto the portal — www.cass.waecinteractivetolution.org — using their school ID and password to upload candidates’ choices.
Regional, Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education, together with Examination Coordinators, have been tasked to ensure strict compliance with the deadline.
The communication underscores the importance of accurate and timely data entry in the nationwide placement system, which determines the allocation of candidates into Senior High Schools across Ghana.
