President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed government’s commitment to accountability, inclusive governance, and national development during a Town Hall Meeting with members of the Ghanaian community in the United Kingdom.
The engagement formed part of activities surrounding the Ghana–UK Investment Summit, which seeks to strengthen bilateral trade relations, deepen economic cooperation, and attract strategic investment into Ghana.
President Mahama outlined ongoing constitutional review processes designed to expand diaspora participation in national governance, including provisions to enable eligible dual citizens to serve at parliamentary and ministerial levels.
He further highlighted Ghana’s improving global economic outlook, noting the country’s growing recognition as a reference point for economic recovery and reform.
Reaffirming Ghana’s commitment to African integration, the President emphasized the importance of regional cooperation under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) as a catalyst for shared prosperity.
The meeting underscored the strategic role of the Ghanaian diaspora in advancing Ghana’s socio-economic transformation and strengthening international partnerships.
