Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club PLC has assured its supporters, stakeholders, and the general public of its commitment to resolving the ongoing matter with former Technical Director René Hiddink in a professional and amicable manner.
In a statement issued on May 11, 2026, the Club confirmed that it has formally submitted a settlement proposal through its legal representatives, following discussions held in court. The proposal, according to management, reflects Hearts of Oak’s genuine desire to conclude the matter fairly and responsibly in the best interest of all parties.
The Club acknowledged circulating reports and alleged leaked conversations attributed to Mr. Hiddink, describing them as unfortunate developments that have generated public discussion. However, management emphasized that it remains focused on the resolution process and will not be drawn into commentary that could undermine efforts toward an amicable settlement.
“Hearts of Oak has acted responsibly, transparently, and in good faith, with the objective of protecting the long-term interests and reputation of the Club while respecting the rights of the other party,” the statement read.
The Club noted that it is awaiting an official response from Mr. Hiddink and his representatives regarding the settlement proposal. Supporters and stakeholders were urged to remain calm, patient, and supportive as discussions continue.
