President John Dramani Mahama has praised the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, and members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) for their sustained efforts in tackling armed robbery and organised crime, as well as their commitment to transforming the Ghana Police Service.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Odumase Krobo Laasi Divisional Police Headquarters, the President noted that the IGP and his team have been “quiet but very effective” in the fight against crime. He lauded the leadership of the Service for intensifying operations against criminal networks and enhancing public safety nationwide.

President Mahama further highlighted that ongoing reforms and operational strategies being implemented by the Police Administration are contributing significantly to strengthening law enforcement and improving security outcomes across the country.

On his part, the IGP expressed gratitude to the President for his continued support in strengthening Ghana’s security framework. He underscored the importance of government’s investment in retooling the Service, particularly the provision of armoured vehicles, which he said has been critical in foiling several robbery incidents.

Mr. Yohuno reaffirmed the Police Administration’s commitment to sustaining momentum in crime fighting and ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
