The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), on Monday received envoys of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) accredited to Ghana for discussions on evolving regional and global developments.
The delegation included His Excellency Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dakhel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Murad Suliaman Mohammed Al-Mandoos, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates; His Excellency Khalid Bin Jabor Saif Jasser Al-Mesallam, Ambassador of the State of Qatar; and Husain Alebrahim, Chargé d’Affaires of the State of Kuwait.
Honourable Ablakwa reaffirmed Ghana’s principled foreign policy stance, underscoring respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and adherence to a rule-based international order.
The GCC envoys acknowledged the strong collaboration between their countries and Ghana at both bilateral and multilateral levels. They emphasised the importance of peace and recounted developments in the Middle East, noting the humanitarian crises that have emerged. The envoys expressed the need for peaceful resolution through dialogue.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen cooperation and uphold peace and stability in the face of global challenges
