“Voter Register Discrepancies Addressed, Says Electoral Commission

Electoral Commission Chairperson Jean Mensa announced today at the Inter-Party Advisory Committee meeting that most errors in the voter register have been resolved.

Jean Mensa emphasized that the register is still a work in progress and naturally contains some imperfections, which are common in any registration process.

She assured that the commission has taken steps to address discrepancies since the initial release of the register, resulting in significant improvements.

“The voters register for today is different from what was provided to the parties in August,” She explained, highlighting the progress made.

Jean Mensa urged stakeholders to trust the commission, citing its track record of delivering free and fair elections.

“Our staff are well-trained, and we have what it takes to produce a credible register,” she added, calling on all political parties to trust the commission ahead of the December polls.
