Police Arrest Suspect Over Threats Against High Court Judge

 The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with a viral video in which threats and abusive language were directed at Her Ladyship Justice Patricia Quansah of the High Court.

The video, which circulated widely on social media, contained allegations accusing the judge of criminal conduct and raised serious concerns about her safety and the reputation of the Judiciary.

Following weeks of intelligence gathering, officers from the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team apprehended the suspect, identified as 49-year-old John Kwabena Owusu Ansah. He was arrested on Thursday, March 27, 2026, at his hideout in Antoakrom in the Ashanti Region.

Police confirmed that Ansah is currently in custody assisting with investigations and will be put before the court.

The arrest underscores the Police Service’s commitment to safeguarding members of the Judiciary and maintaining public confidence in the justice system.
