The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted seventeen officers, including two senior officers, in recognition of their professionalism, discipline, and dedication to duty.

The promotions, announced at Police Headquarters in Accra, were granted in appreciation of the officers’ distinguished performance, particularly their commitment to operational excellence and service to the nation. The gesture forms part of the Service’s broader effort to motivate personnel who demonstrate integrity and outstanding commitment in the line of duty.

IGP Yohuno, together with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), congratulated the officers and urged them to see the elevation as a call to greater responsibility, leadership, and accountability. He encouraged all personnel to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism, loyalty, and service to the public.

The Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to recognising merit and rewarding excellence as a means of strengthening morale and enhancing effective policing across the country.
