Health Minister Urges Alignment with NDC Manifesto at MFA Retreat

Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has charged management of the Ministry and its agencies to align their operations with the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) manifesto, which outlines key reforms and priority interventions for the health sector.

Speaking at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ two-day retreat in Accra, the Health Minister emphasized that the manifesto provides a roadmap for improving access, coordination, and service delivery nationwide. He noted that aligning institutional plans and activities with these commitments is crucial to meeting public expectations and accelerating sector performance.

Hon. Akandoh further stressed that the retreat serves as a strategic platform for reviewing progress and reorienting the Ministry and its agencies towards new targets for 2026 and beyond. He encouraged participants to demonstrate renewed commitment, inter-agency collaboration, and accountability as they collectively drive the government’s health agenda.

The Minister underscored that sustained effort and cooperation across agencies will be vital in delivering improved health outcomes for citizens and advancing national development.
