The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Doha has announced an emergency registration exercise for Ghanaian nationals residing in Qatar, citing heightened tensions and unrest in the region.
In a statement issued on March 2, 2026, the Embassy urged all Ghanaians—including students, workers, families, and visitors—who have not yet registered to do so immediately. The initiative forms part of broader emergency preparedness measures aimed at ensuring effective communication, assistance, and, if necessary, evacuation arrangements for citizens.

The Embassy emphasized that all information provided will be treated with strict confidentiality and used solely for official emergency and consular purposes. Officials further assured that updates will continue to be shared through the Embassy’s official communication channels.
The emergency registration underscores Ghana’s commitment to safeguarding its nationals abroad and ensuring swift response mechanisms in times of crisis.
