The Ghana Hajj Agents Association (GHAA) has officially extended its heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Abdul Rauf Tanko following his appointment as the new Chairman of the Ghana Hajj Board.
In a formal statement issued by the GHAA National Secretariat, the association praised Tanko’s prior leadership and expressed optimism for the future of Hajj operations under his renewed stewardship.

The congratulatory message, signed by GHAA Chairman Alhassan Zakaria, acknowledged Tanko’s previous contributions to the Hajj process and emphasized the need for continued collaboration and reform. “Your reappointment is a testament to your dedication and the trust reposed in you by the authorities,” the statement read. “We are confident that your leadership will bring renewed energy and strategic direction to the Hajj Board.”
The GHAA highlighted several persistent challenges in the organization of Hajj pilgrimages, including visa acquisition delays, flight scheduling issues, and accommodation logistics. The association called for greater transparency, accountability, and proactive planning to ensure a seamless experience for Ghanaian pilgrims.
Chairman for GHAA ,Alhassan Zakaria urged the new Chairman to prioritize systemic improvements and foster stronger coordination among stakeholders. “We believe that with effective leadership and inclusive dialogue, the Ghana Hajj Board can overcome these hurdles and deliver a dignified pilgrimage experience for all,” he stated.
The message concluded with a pledge of support from GHAA and a call for unity among all parties involved in the Hajj process. The association reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Board to uphold the spiritual and logistical integrity of the pilgrimage.
